These terms are between you and LeanOS Inc. ("Leanos," "we," "us"), an Ontario corporation federally incorporated in Canada. They cover your use of the Leanos iOS app, the Leanos subscription, and the leanos.me marketing site. By installing the app or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Leanos is for adults. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 17 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are between 13 and 17, do not use the app without a parent or guardian's involvement. We do not knowingly accept users under 13.
Leanos is an iOS coaching and tracking app. The app helps you log calories from a plate photo, read steps from HealthKit, log key lifts on training days, capture body progress photos, and have conversations with a coach that reads what you log. The coach uses the Anthropic API to generate replies.
Leanos is not a medical service, not a diagnostic service, and not a substitute for professional advice. See the disclaimer below.
Leanos is a paid app. Two plans are offered.
The annual plan is $149 per year, with a 14-day free trial for new users. The trial begins when you tap to purchase on the in-app paywall. If you do not cancel before the end of the 14-day trial, your Apple ID is charged $149 on day 15. The subscription auto-renews annually at the then-current price until you cancel.
The monthly plan is $19.99 per month, no trial. The subscription auto-renews monthly at the then-current price until you cancel.
All prices are in US dollars. Apple may convert and display the price in your local currency. Sales tax, VAT, or equivalent may apply per Apple's standard practice.
Billing is handled by Apple through StoreKit, not by Leanos. We do not see or store your billing details. Your Apple ID receipt is the official record of the transaction.
You cancel your Leanos subscription in iOS Settings, not in the Leanos app. Open Settings, tap your Apple ID at the top, tap Subscriptions, find Leanos, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your access stays active until the end of your current billing period.
If you cancel before the end of the 14-day free trial, you are not charged.
If you uninstall the app, your subscription continues to renew until you cancel through iOS Settings.
Subscription refunds are processed by Apple under Apple's standard refund policy. You can request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides each request based on its policy. We do not have the authority to issue refunds directly through the App Store.
If you have a billing situation that cannot be resolved through Apple, email support@leanos.me and we will look into it.
Leanos is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional. The coach, the encyclopedia, the philosophy, and every other piece of content in the app are general information about habits, training, sleep, eating, and recovery. None of it diagnoses any condition, treats any condition, prescribes any treatment, or replaces a relationship with a doctor, therapist, dietitian, or any other licensed professional.
Do not rely on Leanos for advice about a medical condition, a prescription, a treatment plan, mental-health care, or any decision that would normally involve a professional. If you have a health concern, work with someone qualified to help with it.
You use Leanos at your own discretion. By using the service you accept responsibility for your own health decisions and acknowledge that Leanos is not responsible for the outcomes of those decisions.
Use Leanos for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to interfere with the app, reverse-engineer it, scrape it, or use it in a way that violates Apple's App Store guidelines or applicable law. Do not use the app or the coach to harass others, to generate harmful content, or to circumvent the safeguards that keep the coach in scope.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that causes harm.
Anything you write, photograph, or otherwise create inside the Leanos app belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your check-in photos, your plate photos, your chat messages, or any other content you put into the app. Per the privacy policy, most of that content stays on your device.
When you send content to the coach, you grant Leanos the limited right to transmit that content to Anthropic so that a reply can be generated. The full data flow is described in the privacy policy.
The Leanos brand, the app design, the encyclopedia, the philosophy, the coach prompt, the code, and the marketing site are owned by Leanos or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the app while your subscription is active. The right ends when your subscription ends.
You may not copy, redistribute, or republish Leanos content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Personal note-taking, screenshots for personal reference, and ordinary use are fine.
Leanos is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leanos, its operators, and its licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid Leanos in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You can stop using the service at any time. Uninstall the app, cancel your subscription, or both.
We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if your account creates a risk to us or to other users, or if we decide to stop offering the service. We will give reasonable notice when possible. If we terminate without cause and your subscription is paid up, we will pro-rate any unused portion through Apple's refund process to the extent Apple's policy allows.
We may change, add, or remove features in the app over time. Material changes that affect your subscription will be communicated through the App Store listing, the app itself, or this page.
The App Store distributes the app. Your relationship with Apple is governed by Apple's standard end-user license agreement at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Apple is not a party to these terms. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Leanos app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or your use of the service will be resolved in the courts of the Province of Ontario, unless your local consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to bring the dispute in your home jurisdiction.
If you and Leanos cannot resolve a dispute directly, we encourage informal resolution by email at support@leanos.me before either side files a claim.
We will update these terms when our practices or features change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be flagged on this page and in the app. By continuing to use Leanos after a change is published, you accept the updated terms.
The leanos.me marketing site is informational. It does not collect your email or require an account. Your use of it is covered by these terms and by the privacy policy.
